The check artifact passes the literal to a function that takes T, so the checker reads it the way an annotated local does. A key the literal carries and T does not name stays quiet: Luau reads a wider table as a subtype of a narrower one, and no solver reports the extra key. Write the annotation on the binding when the shape has to be exact.
