dropped_result

A call of a Result function whose value nothing reads.

A function that can fail answers with a Result, and the caller reads it with a match, an if local Ok(v) = r, or a method. A call statement that drops it loses the failure: the program goes on as if the call worked. Bind the value, or say the failure is expected by naming what to do with it.

Set its level in the [lint] table of alloy.toml, or for one file with --@alloy-lint.
