if x == nil then x = v end, a coalescing assignment by hand.

Flux. The three-line nil check assigns when x is nil and nothing else. x ??= v is that statement, and it reads x once. alloy flux --fix rewrites it.

Set its level in the [lint] table of alloy.toml, or for one file with --@alloy-lint.
