single_angle_call

Updated

A call that writes its type arguments in one <...>.

A call takes its type arguments in <<...>>: id<<number>>(5). Luau reads id<number>(5) as two comparisons, (id < number) > 5, and so does Alloy, because every valid Luau file compiles. Where the tokens read as no Luau, Signal.new<string>(), the compiler reports an error instead. The editor offers the <<...>> form as a quick fix; alloy flux --fix leaves the line, because the rewrite changes what the program does.

Set its level in the [lint] table of alloy.toml, or for one file with --@alloy-lint.
