manual_type_test

typeof(x) == "T" in place of x is T.

Flux. x is T compiles to the right test for the name, type, typeof, or IsA, and the checker narrows x in the branch. A string comparison narrows nothing. alloy flux --fix rewrites primitives, Instance, and the Roblox datatypes.

Set its level in the [lint] table of alloy.toml, or for one file with --@alloy-lint.
