unused_variable

A local that nothing reads.

A local or a loop variable that appears nowhere after its declaration. A leftover, or a typo in the name that reads it. Prefix it with _ to say it is unused on purpose; alloy flux --fix does that. The type checker reports the scoped cases this lint cannot see, and unused_function covers a function.

Set its level in the [lint] table of alloy.toml, or for one file with --@alloy-lint.
